You supply “good” photos** and first come, first served. IF you are in the Central New Mexico area Artist Bob prefers that he will do a photo shoot with you with his camera and him shooting (at no additional charge). It’s up to him. (** and Artist Bob reserves the right to decline the project if the photos are of poor quality.) Wherever the photos came from: they become the property of Artist Bob and are copyrighted by Artist Bob, LLC.

For new human oil portraits, the support/panel is of the finest quality : a panel covered with Belgian Linen Archival -- See the page about this.  OR it is an aluminum panel that has been carefully prepared for portraiture. It’s totally up to Artist Bob as to which panel he will use and the final size. Artist Bob will do nothing smaller than an 14” x 11”.

Portraiture is a process. Upon completion of painting you will be sent a digital photograph of the final art.  Satisfaction is guaranteed. After you are satisfied, the remainder of the cost is due and payable (and shipping and handling fee if you live outside of Metro Albuquerque, NM). If after 1-2 correction attempts you are still not satisfied, Artist Bob will keep the painting and the client will not pay for the remainder of the cost of the painting. This has never happened yet. Artist Bob reserves the right on type and size of canvas/support board, depending on the subject and background (if any) -- could be a 11” x 14”, 12" x 16", 18” x 14”, 16" x 20", or other size.

If it is bigger than an 16” x 20” (and this will be pre-agreed with you, the client, and Artist Bob) there will be additional costs : in materials, labor, and especially shipping. The biggest portrait Artist Bob has shipped recently was a 24” x 48” on aluminum panel, and that shipping cost (Sept. 2023) was approximately $460 (and Fed Ex was the least expensive.) This didn’t include the shipping materials or labor (about another $150).

Lastly, if there are major changes, like a whole new background, there will be an additional labor charge (starting at $600 plus NMGRT).
